Feeling like you're the only one in Rockford who loves to sail? Well, you're not.

The Rockford Yacht Club is an organization of sailing enthusiasts from Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. A meeting is held every month at the Harlem Township Hall in Machesney Park, IL on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Rockford Yacht Club (RYC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the enjoyment of boating activities in the upper Midwest, with an emphasis on sailing. Safety, education, camaraderie, and community involvement are our primary programs and activities.

RYC Annual "A TASTE OF SAIL" Event: This event is held in June of every year at Rockcut State Park in Loves Park, IL. This event is structured so the Rockford Yacht club can give FREE short sailing lessons to the general public. Not sure if you will enjoy sailing or just curious to how a sailboat works then please see the calendar for more information and to make a sailing lesson reservation.
